Dear Directors:
It feels like spring! This Friday, March 12, our entire staff and eleven of our Board members will be in Novi to participate in the Community Association Institute (CAI) 2010 State Conference. To accomplish this task, our office will be closed for the day. The 11 Board members will be attending advance training regarding their roles on the Boards. Managers will be attending training sessions about the new FHA rulings, strategic planning, fraud prevention and insurance topics. This year, as in the past, a Cummings employee will be a featured speaker at the Seminar. Hopefully, you will plan to join us next year at this annual event.
You should have received notification from our office regarding the March 25th and March 26th FHA Seminars. These seminars will cover the process of getting your Association on the FHA Approved List. To learn more on the changes, please visit our website: www.CummingsManagement.com. Since the impact of these changes will affect all communities, with the exception of site-condos, please be sure to review the content of these changes, either online at our website or by contacting our office.
Taxes have been completed and need to be signed, sealed and mailed no later than March 15, 2010. Please communicate with your Manager regarding when you would like your 2009 Year End financial statements distributed to all Co-owners.
Those Associations who hold spring/early summer Annual Meetings should have those dates confirmed. Please encourage your neighbors to join you and serve a term on the Board. We won't promise them that the experience is without challenge, but we can promise that they will have a new appreciation for what you have been providing them in this past year.
