Dear Directors:

Well, I have a few updates from past communications that need recapping:  

 Taxes have been completed for all groups.  Please make sure a representative of the Board has signed the tax form.  The deadline for mailing this return is 

 March 15, 2009 so please make any necessary arrangements soon.  

 All Associations that received a letter regarding storing financial records at the management office should have responded by now.  If your community has not responded, Cummings will contact the Board through either phone or through the Managing Agent to ensure all decisions are made and clear up any confusion. 

 Snow/Winter is showing signs of declining.  With your February financials, your expenses should be reviewed to see if any needed assessments or changes to the budget are needed.  Again, it's Michigan and winter is not completed, but if an assessment is inevitable, then please look to communicate this situation to the membership as soon as possible.  

This is the time of the year for us to prepare for the up and coming spring and summer months of on-site review and meetings, as well as the seasonal influx of work orders.   In the same spirit, we are internally reviewing the direction we are taking as a company.  Escaping all of the corporate buzzwords, we are simply setting goals and cleaning house.  As this is a necessary step toward improving our service to your community, we want to put out advance notice of dates that we will either be closed or at least be working with limited staff:

We are blessed with a talented and diverse staff as well as surrounded by literally a century's worth of experience with our wonderful clients.  We feel that by honing in these talents we will be pro-actively addressing our service for the betterment of our clients and the promotion of our company, a win-win.  I look forward to keeping you informed of the process and the monitoring of the results of future improvement.
