August Newsletter

Dear Directors:

In a tough economy, we all tighten our belts and make value judgments about what is important and what we might be able to forego.   Price points are sharpened and practices are analyzed to see if they are still important for our quality of life.

Many community associations are currently going through this process and working together to meet the needs of their unit owners under budget constraints.  They are also exploring how volunteer efforts may represent savings for their associations.   Now more than ever, we need to enhance our communication of the efforts of our volunteers and events that may benefit our entire membership.

If you are still paying Association expenses for newsletters, please note.  Cummings welcomes to our team of experienced personnel, Sandra Bailey, who will be helping us and your Association with marketing and advertising needs.  One of her goals is to find advertisers for Association newsletters to offset or finance your communication expenses.

Are you looking for a way to encourage new members to the Board?  Consider inviting him/her to our free August 19, 2009, 6:30 PM seminar, "Conducting Effective Meetings" to be held at our Taylor Drive office.  Call 800-965-5292 or 715-5310 to reserve your seat.

Would you like to encourage attendance at your Annual Meeting?  Please contact Kay at the management office regarding free presentations we offer to your Association members.  Topics include: Understanding your Governing Documents, How to Develop a Reserve Study, and Understanding Condominium Insurance.  We are working harder than ever to encourage both the rights and responsibilities that unit owners obtain through condo ownership.

We will be holding free "Budget Workshops" during the month of October.  This will give Directors a chance to come to our office, work directly with accounting and management staff members to begin the process of developing their 2010 Budget.  Dates and times will be announced in our September newsletter.

Be Well,

Kay
